The Town of Chester is studying housing development potential at the 139-acre Town-owned property south of GMUHS to serve the local workforce and community members. The Town will be hosting a public open house on Tuesday, March 18th from 4:00 – 7:00 PM in the Chester Town Hall (upstairs) to discuss housing development at this property. The community is welcome to drop in anytime between 4 and 7 to participate in this open house, there will be no formal presentation. Attendees can expect to spend 15 - 20 minutes learning about the project and answering interactive questions to share your thoughts on the need for housing in Chester and the type of development you’d like to see on this property. Snacks will be provided, and attendees will be entered into a drawing to win a local gift card. March 19th:West Coast Swing Dance Classes

The Chester Rod & Gun Club (4351 VT Route 11 West) offers Skeet, Trap, Trap Doubles, and Handicap Trap year round, 25, 50, and 100-yard pistol and rifle ranges and Black Power Shooting. Throughout the year, there are special events for all ages including Fun Shoots, Fishing Derby in the spring for the younger crowd, and Hunter Safety Courses. ALL ARE WELCOME! More information can be found on their website at endlesscreationspottery.com. ![]() April 27, 2025- The Vermont Symphony Orchestra returns to the beautifully restored Chester Town Hall theater on Sunday April 27th at 7 PM for an evening of traditional Shaker melodies, Scott Joplin ragtime music, selections of Brandenburg concertos and more. The evening concert features a VSO woodwind and string trio: Principal Flute Melissa Mielens, Principal Cello John Dunlop and violin Laura Markowitz.
Presented by Upstairs at Town Hall and the Town of Chester. Admission is free, A suggested donation of $15.00 helps support arts and community events at Town Hall. No one will be turned away. Upstairs at Town Hall is a Vermont Nonprofit Corporation staffed entirely by community volunteers. Chester Town Hall is accessible with a ramp and elevator. Doors open at 6:45 PM. |
