Chester Fire Department is comprised of Call Firefighters who volunteer their time to train and prepare themselves to be able to respond to emergency calls to fire scenes, accident scenes requiring the Jaws of Life to extricate individuals from their vehicles or a fuel spill, mutual aid to other towns, downed power lines, carbon monoxide investigations, and assist other Town departments as needed. The Department has two engine pumpers, one tanker truck, one utility truck, and a rescue sled.
Individuals interested in serving on the Chester Fire Department are welcome to submit an application which can be obtained on-line or at the Town Office. The application form can be downloaded from the Forms section of this site. |
