Highway Department Laborer/Parks and Cemetery
The Town of Chester is seeking an energetic dependable individual to fill the role of Highway Department and Parks and Cemetery Laborer. In the winter, this role includes working with the Highway Department which includes operating heavy equipment for snow removal as assigned. This position performs a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance work, and operates a variety of equipment in the construction, operation, repair, maintenance and replacement of town roads and storm drain facilities and systems. In the summer, this job includes assisting with burials and grave location, mowing and trimming Town of Chester cemeteries and outdoor public areas.
The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, and two years of experience in a comparable position is required. The applicant must possess a CDL or be able to obtain a CDL within 6 months of hire. Firefighter/Paramedic Full-Time
Chester Public Safety is excited to announce a new full-time Firefighter AEMT/Paramedic position. The ideal candidate will be a Firefighter/Paramedic. The minimum qualifications are a Firefighter/AEMT. The candidate would have the ability to achieve their Paramedic License within two years. Candidates will also have a strong passion for community-oriented health care.
Candidate should possess the following knowledge and skills:
1. Possess a valid Vermont AEMT/Paramedic license.
2. Possess a current Pro-Board Firefighter I/II
3. Possess a Highschool diploma or GED.
4. Ability to pass a background check.
5. US Citizen, 18 Years of age or older.
6. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
7. Possess a valid VT driver’s license
Pay range $28.00 - $35.00 per hour, Four 10 hour shifts per week
