The Planning Commission is responsible for all planning-related matters and includes writing the Town Plan, and Zoning, Subdivision, and Flood Hazard Regulations. Commission meetings are held on the first and third Mondays of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Town Hall.
The State of Vermont has embarked on a new energy plan to meet 90% of the State’s energy from renewable sources by 2050. The Town of Chester may participate in this goal by adding an energy plan chapter to our Town Plan, giving us a voice in this matter.
