Nonprofit organizations may apply to the Board of Selectmen for permission to conduct coin drop highway solicitations on Town highways. The application can be downloaded and must be submitted to the Town Manager for inclusion on the agenda for a Board of Selectmen meeting which are held the first and third Wednesdays of each month. Traffic control cones are required and specific information concerning the layout of these devices is available at the Town Manager's Office. The Chester Police Department will monitor the alarm system you have installed at your business or residence and respond when an alarm is received. Applications may be hand-delivered, dropped in the town hall after-hours drop-box, mailed, or scanned and emailed to the zoning administrator. Be sure to sign your application. Fees may be paid by cash, check payable to the Town of Chester, or credit card by calling or visiting the town clerk. A 3% service fee is added to credit card payments.

The town Development Review Board (DRB) may require a printed ANR Permit Navigator Results Summary and/or a Construction Permit or Inspection Report from the Division of Fire Safety prior to a DRB hearing.
